Village life experiences in Kerala

Urbanisation has led to migration of population from villages to cities and villages are also turning in to small towns. There are many unique and traditional techniques villagers are used for farming, making crafts, etc are disappearing due to urbanisation. Tourism has helped to retain many such skills as well as encourage many people to return to nature. There are many village life experiences Kerala has to offer and one such unique experience near Kovalam beach in Kerala is as follows

Kerala Village Life

Tour starts at 6.15 Am assemble at a village near Kovalam to see the magical sunrise from a lake which you may find similar to some paintings of sunrise with its shadows on the lake.

walk through the bund road where you can see people plucking lotus flowers from lake by using small canoe

banana plantations, bitter guard, snake guard, spinach leaves cultivation which are organically done.

There are many species of endemic birds as well as migratory birds finds in this place. After seeing the nature at its pure canvas, one can try a tea from a local chai maker.
